Are you anxiously awaiting the day you can open your pool for the season? It's an exciting time of year, but it can also be a bit overwhelming when it comes to making sure your pool is in the best shape for the swimming season. From cleaning to testing for chemicals, there are a lot of steps involved in pool opening services. We are here to help! Our services include the following:
If you have an auto cover, we will clean it during the opening process. Winter cover? No problem, we’ll clean, remove, and fold so that you can store your cover for the summer.
When we closed your pool last fall, we blew out the pipes and installed winterizing plugs to prevent freezing. Now, the process goes in reverse, removing the plugs and allowing water from the pool to flow back into the pipes.
We will skim the debris from the top and thoroughly brush and vacuum your pool as part of our pool opening services. Some debris will settle after our departure, this is normal and will likely require an additional vacuuming. We offer pool service at an additional cost following your opening – weekly / bi-weekly / monthly. Interested? Let us know!
Cartridge filters will be cleaned and/or backwashing of the sand filter. Additional charge for sand replacement (if requested).
Once we have reinstalled the equipment drain plugs and baskets, your system is ready for testing. If everything looks good after a visual inspection, we prime and start the filter pump to get the water circulating.
The safety, beauty, and – most importantly – longevity of your pool equipment rely heavily on properly managed water chemistry. This is a delicate process, one that must be performed correctly at the start of the season and maintained all season long. Our knowledgeable and experienced team will begin this process with start-up chemicals at the time of the opening. We offer pool service at an additional cost following your opening – weekly / bi-weekly / monthly. Interested? Let us know!
Pool closing is an important process to help keep your pool in great shape throughout the year. Hiring a professional to close your pool can help ensure that your pool is properly cared for and ready for the cold months ahead.
Our professionals will make sure your pool is at the correct water level and your water chemistry is right for winterization.
Regardless of the type of cover you have, we will skim and vacuum the bottom of the pool to remove large particles and leaves to prevent stains over the closing season as possible (mesh covers, of course, allow for debris and other particles to settle into your pool over the winter months).
Cleaning the cartridge filters is important to maintain your system. Dirt and debris that collects on the filter will restrict water flow through the system and can cause it to not work efficiently. You may end up with debris that gets past the filter back into your pool water. We will clean them during closing services. This includes backwashing of the sand filter as needed.
When winterizing, it’s important to install winter plugs and purge the lines of water so they don’t freeze. We will complete this process for the filter, pump and heater to ensure there is no water in the lines. We will also add non-toxic antifreeze to complete the winterization process.
If applicable, we will install the winter cover to protect your pool through the winter months.
